Asian Health & Service Center Host Asian Art Exhibition
Warren Jimenez
On Saturday, Sam and I attended this art exhibition. The exhibition features the high quality work of over 150 students who have taken art classes sponsored by the Oregon Arts Commission, the National Endowment for the Arts and AHSC. The students come from diverse cultural backgrounds and include retirees, homemakers, caregivers, people recovering from chronic illness and small business owners. Over 100 pieces of artwork will be on display and many will be available for purchase with the proceeds benefiting AHSC. This exhibit will run through May 31st.
The Asian Health & Service Center’s Portland office is located at 3633 SE 35th Place. For more
information about the exhibit, contact Christine Lau at 503-872-8822, extension 201.
