New Year's Cambodian Celebration
Maria Thi Mai
On New Year's Ever, Sam and I were honored guests at the 3rd Annual Khmer heritage celebration. The evening was filled with the indulgence of good food, speeches, and performances. I especially enjoyed the playful flirtation of the Fishing Dance and the beautiful costumes of the Aspara Dance.
This year the Cambodian American Community has much to celebrate, including the debut of the film Bombhunters. A special thanks goes to Kilong Ung, President and Chanly Bob, board Chair of the Cambodian American Community. We look forward to continued success in the new year.

Dave: You mock people's celebration of their ethnic heritage? Not cool, dude. TJ

Glad you had so much fun with that Celebration.
Perhaps the Fishing Dance, Aspara Dance and crafting of the costumes can be taught to the folks who are going to be living down at Tryon Creek.
