(1) Comments so far...

Last Wednesday, we received a detailed briefing from BES on "Actions for Watershed Health" the Draft 2005 Portland Watershed Management Plan.

Environmental Services has worked for a year to develop this comprehensive citywide watershed management plan.  The Plan describes the approach the City will use to improve watershed health.

This is an action plan to protect Portland's natural resources, restore critical ecosystems, and implement stormwater solutions that integrate the urban area with the natural environment.

The deadline for submitting comments to the Plan has been extended till 5 PM, December 21st.

You can download a copy for review at http://www.portlandonline.com/bes/index.cfm?c=40156 or we'll mail you the plan on CD.  Call 503-823-7740 for a paper or CD copy.
