Business #121: Maverick's Gym

Where: Mavericks Fitness Club
When: July 15, 2005
Mavericks is not a gym, it's a fitness center. Like gyms, Mavericks does focus on sweat and excersize to take off the pounds, but unlike traditional gyms, it also focuses on nutrition. There is a cafe inside called "Real Food for Real People," which offers up balanced meals, and the staff can help you get nutritional supplements, as well. Next door there is a naturopathic health clinic.
Sam worked as a receptionist and greeter at the front desk of Mavericks to start out with. Then he was put to work doing laundry -since sports clubs produce a lot of dirty towels- which was in turn followed by cleaning equipment in the gym.

Kari,
Over the next couple weeks we are doing our year-end blog clean up and catch up so you will see a bunch of entries posted in draft form. Thanks for your patience.

OK, I give up. What's the point of posting a bunch of pictures and logos of local businesses?
Do you have something to say about these businesses, Warren? And what the heck does July 15 have to do with anything?
Blogs are cool - but the whole point is to SAY SOMETHING. Anything, really.
