gDiapers, "Love at first flush"
Warren Jimenez
Portland is known for being a "green, sustainable" city. Therefore, it makes good sense to support local businesses who care about our environment. Today, Sam and I had an opportunity to meet with gDiapers. gDiapers have developed the first flushable diaper in the world.
"They really are flushable," said Jason Grahm-Nye, Dad and Co-founder/CEO of gDiapers. "Imagine taking your baby's soiled diapers and flushing it down the toilet. No more smell, no more guilt. You're putting human waste where it belongs, in the toilet. Not the landfill. That's exactly what gDiapers are designed to do."
Disposable diapers--with 20 billion thrown away each year, are the 3rd
largest contributor to landfill and take more than 500 years to biodegrade. Jason and Kim Graham-Nye moved to Portland from Australia to launch their socially responsible venture because of Portland's reputation as a green-friendly market.
gDiapers, welcome to Portland!!

Their website seems to have a lot of glitches. Do you know where I can buy these? My sis is having a baby and these are the PERFECT gift!

Dave:
They brought 5 family wage jobs into NW Portland. They hope to expand slowly into the market. Of course, Sam and I will be available to help them out when they grow out of their existing facility.
Anna, They will be available in New Seasons beginning November 1st. In the meantime, I would contact Kate Bailey French at 503-546-4666. She would be more than happy to help you out as well.

What a great product idea! I wish they'd been available 25 years ago. How many jobs are they bringing to town and what is their expected growth?
