Woodstock_dunk_a_2How to dunk a City Commissioner:

1.  Hold the Annual Woodstock Old Fashion Picnic in Woodstock Park in Southeast Portland.

2.  Get the good folks at the Southeast Portland Lions Club to bring their dunk tank.

3.  Sell dunk tickets for $1.00 for three throws at the dunk tank target.Woodstock_dunk_diane_2

4.  Promise that all proceeds to benefit the Lion’s Eye health charities.

5.  Tell the City Commissioner that the big purple bucket full of water it is a “complimentary spa treatment.”

6.  Announce over the public address system that you can dunk a politician for a buck.

7.  Deal with the enthusiastic crowd making there way to the dunk tank (that woman throwing the softball looks really familiar!?).

8.  Mumble an answer the City Commissioner’s questions about the odd-colored murky brown water in the tank, “that it's good for the skin.”

9.  Let public throw at the target;  If they all miss and 'thower' is under 10 years of age, let them hit the target with their hands.

10.  Laugh as the City Commissioner gets wet.  Repeat.Woodstock_dunk_e_2

Thanks to the Woodstock Neighborhood Association and the Woodstock Business Association for a great time.  Congrats on the success of your picnic!
