Business #90: Solo Flamenco
Warren Jimenez
Solo Flamenco puts a great deal of effort into passing on its passion to people of all ages. They teach lessons 30 hours per week and offer free lessons to children to get them involved in dancing. Their upcoming flamenco festival in July will attract numerous out-of-state visitors to Portland, or 35% of their expected attendance.
“Creating a fun atmosphere is important,” says owner Laurena Marrone. “We’re the only all-Flamenco studio on the West coast, we put on dance concerts up and down the west coast, and we’re a non-profit organization.”
To improve her business and the overall business climate in Portland, Laurena is
seeking my help with funding. As children are important to her, Laurena would like help raising funds to further Solo Flamenco’s free dance lessons for children.
