Business #85: Hilton Hotel
Warren Jimenez
“We know that our business is successful when we can send delegates to conferences and conventions,” says Brad Hilton, General Manager of the Hilton in downtown Portland. “We have a great product, and we know that times are good when we can send our people across the world to conventions.”
Brad said that my efforts to visit 100 Portland businesses in my first 100 days in office will go a long way to determining the health of our city’s economy. For the Hilton specifically, hiring qualified applicants is a major issue, as they seek a central source to help them locate minority applicants. Additionally, he wants my help in renovating the transit mall, improving conditions around our city to decrease the prominence of panhandling, improving OCC funding, improving outreach and inclusiveness in the PDC, and in spearheading city hall outreach programs.
