Live/Work in Portland

Zoning needs to change to accommodate the needs of small business, artists, craftsman and sole practitioner businesses. Why is a 5 to 15 person establishment zoned the same as a 50 person establishment?

"Spot zoning" if studied is what got us into the commute mess in the first place. I sure hope this becomes a topic with the Zone Map Amendment process currently underway.

If people are to change their behavior + get out of their cars, the communities in which they live, need to create ways to support this behavior by eliminating the zoning bureaucracy that stands in the way.
