
WANTED: Staff Associate for Transportation and Good Government Projects
We're looking for a policy associate to help us work on transportation related issues in the office of City Commissioner Sam Adams. Many of the projects will involve public outreach and development of strategies related to transportation funding. Great opportunity to learn how the city works and to have an impact on the city around you.
The position will provide extensive exposure public opinion and research. The position has a significant administrative component.
Description
This is an unpaid internship.
Primarily, you will be working with Sam's transportation and good government team including staff, consultants and partners in the following capacities:
- Logistics for public meetings, presentations and communications (minutes, web updates, synthesizing input)
- Research
- Public opinion collection
- Public involvement and outreach
You may be asked to take on smaller office tasks as needed.
Optional skills
- Interest in transportation policy
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Computer competence
Term
- Three months, with the option for an additional three months, to begin upon hire
