City Council provides a forum to address your elected officials. Individuals who wish to address the council may do so each week before the regular agenda. This process ensures the council's ability to hear from a broad cross-section of the population on the issues that impact their lives.

This year the number of times that a member of the public are allowed to address Council was limited to once a month. Sam opposed Mayor Potter's ordinance as a restraint on freedom of speech and the important discourse between the public and the City Council.

Sam encourages the public to use this important tool of public speech on the topics that are vital to all of you. To address Council submit a written request to the auditor's office [1] including: the nature of the request; the reason for the request; and the requester's name, address and phone number. We look forward to hearing from you at Council.
