This facility represents one of the first of many innovative developments that will transform this once blighted land into a dynamic community.

From the solar paneled sunshades to the reused rain water, this building will tread lightly on this sensitive land. Micro turbines will provide efficient eclectic power and outside air will ventilate parts of the building, allowing the building to breathe sustainably. This building exemplifies the future of green ideas, connecting healthy building with building health.

Southwaterfront is both a symbolic connection with our past economy and the physical labors of shipbuilding and steel harvesting and a vital link to our future labors in research and health sciences.

Welcome OHSU!
