- Dirt roads are NOT public roads, they are private roads and the responsibility of the private property owners for maintaining as they see fit, whether as gravel or choosing to pave them.
- You can get any pothole filled in 48-72 hours by calling 823-BUMP.
- The Bicycle Master Plan adopted in 1996 is only 30% complete in twelve years. And as you can see from here, for every dollar we spend on bikes we spend $14 on frieght. In other words, 1.5% of transportation's budget goes to bikes. Read more here .
- Streetcars and light rail are completed with an incredible amount of federal funds specifically earmarked for this use. If you disagree with these earmarks, your congressperson should definitely hear about it.
- It's fine to disagree with the Eastbank Esplanade. It too was built with federal funding and tax-increment financing that can't be spent outside of the district. For more about TIF, click here
- At least $11M in surplus funding has gone to transportation in the most dangerous intersections and corridors in the city over the past two years.
