Sadly, ODOT's $50M project

Sadly, ODOT's $50M project to widen I-5 across the Columbia Slough will eliminate the existing add-lane off Columbia Blvd southbound to I-5. The region's busiest freight arterial will loose easy access to I-5 in order to accommodate Clark county commuters.
Indeed, there is risk that the current back up at the Slough bridge will shift south putting access from Swan Island via Going and Greeley at risk as well when the wait at ramp meters is increased. Delta/Lombard hurts freight.
