Priorities

I frequently drive to Seattle and never really have issues unless it is at rush hour. I think that the biggest problem is SW Washington's approach to land use planning and a lack of coordination between the two parts of the region. I am concerned that if we build a bigger bridge and more lanes that they will just fill with more cars than that can handle and we will be in an endless loop. Many of the small towns in SW WA are expecting to DOUBLE in size...and I don't see why we should make that easier on people who want to double dip by fleeing income taxes in OR and not paying sales tax in WA.

Street cars, light rail and an attention to modes other than cars IS balance. And it's about time that we spend our tax dollars for transportation in a balanced way instead of subsidizing autos and auto dependent development
