Those are not invented
Those are not invented numbers (except as stated within the quote), they are based on research based on real estate industry stats. see: ti.org. Also see: americandreamcoalition.org/penalty.html
It is the planning industry that makes up numbers.
As to my web site, what are do you find puzzling?
* The links to trimet and government documents that show light rail (even without construction costs) costs twice what driving costs (which include road construction)?
DebunkingPortland.com/Transit/Cost-Cars-Transit.htm
* The proof that MAX has 3x the death rate of local cars.
DebunkingPortland.com/Transit/MAXSafetyChart.html
* The links to newspaper articles and city council minutes that shoe that MAX did not cause development?
DebunkingPortland.com/Transit/LightRailDevelopment.htm
* Or maybe you didn’t like to find proof that a hybrid car uses MUCH less energy that a bus and not much more than MAX (not counting construction energy).
DebunkingPortland.com/Transit/BusVsCarTEDB.htm
* Maybe I need to improve my proof that increased density increases congestion?
DebunkingPortland.com/Smart/DensityCongestion.htm
* Were puzzled by Metro’s data that high density costs more than low density?
DebunkingPortland.com/Smart/DensityCost.htm
Come on, what did you really find puzzling?
Thanks
