From the Bottom's Up Mission:

Raising Awareness:
Through an innovative, dynamic series of presentations and exhibits, From the Bottoms Up will examine the multi-faceted reconstruction effort in the Gulf Coast region.

Raising Funds:
Funds raised from the generous support of sponsors, private donors, and an art auction will be given to the Alliance for Affordable Energy to fund their production and distribution of a Build Smart toolkit to Louisiana residents.

Raising Standards:
To date, From the Bottoms Up (FBU) has received support from diverse industries, political leaders, community members, artists, and small businesses in Portland. FBU is the connective tissue between these diverse sectors, linking each community speciality with a shared vision. Together, and from testimony of the rebuilding process in New Orleans, Portland will identify the needed initiatives to correct the problems exposed by Katrina, existent in Portland.
